Roll/Brake/ABS Test Stands for Trucks and Buses

The roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck is designed for tests of heavy commercial vehicles (maximum axle load 10 t) with up to 4 driven axles under road-like conditions. Amongst others combine these tests pure roll tests, the speedometer test, the performance measurement and the combined roll/brake/ABS tests, which are carried out in short cycle time and comply with the highest quality requirements.

In the roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck each tire of the vehicle is held by a roller set, which is driven by a separate AC motor. This motor includes the measurement technique for the detection of the applied torque and the engine speed. It is individually controlled by a frequency converter. Thereby the speed of the non-driven axle is identically adapted to the vehicle driven axle through the drives of the roll test stand and the resistance is simulated during the acceleration of the rolls through the drive of the commercial vehicle. In this case the motor is driven in generator mode and produces electrical energy, which can be returned to the grid (energy efficiency).

The 1 axle or 2 axle brake test stand x-brake truck measures the brake force of heavy commercial vehicles (maximum axle load 13t) and effects the control unit function test at low speed.

The control unit communication at the roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road truck and the brake test stand x-brake truck can take place via x-tronic carlink.
