The roll/brake/ABS test stand x-road offers the possibility to carry out a dynamic driving test, as well as a control unit parameter set-up and testing of front, rear and four wheel driven cars in the End of Line sector.

Basically the x-road consists of four roller sets to support the vehicle wheels. Each roller set is linked with a vector controlled AC motor. The motors are controlled by frequency converters and work individually in a driven or generator mode. Excessive energy is returned to the grid.



With the brake test stand x-brake it is possible to do function tests of the brake system with measurement and analysis of the brake force, ABS function tests (sensor test, valve test, etc.) at low speed as well as function tests of the parking brake.

Basically the x-brake consists of four roller sets to support the vehicle wheels, whereas each roller set is attached to an AC geared motor and a load cell to measure the brake force. Vehicle detection and slip measurement are carried out via contact.



The regular examination of measuring systems is essential. This also applies to roll/ brake/ABS test stands in the End of Line sector. Besides the verification of the ascertained measures the comparison of the existing parameter settings as well as the accuracy of the dynamic brake force detection at roll/brake/ABS test stands can be checked with the autonomously working test system x-cal. In addition, the reduced mass of the test stand rollers can be determined with the test system x-cal.



With the multi-function test stand without rollers x-dynodrive, dynamic driven tests of the power train are possible at high revolutions per minute and forces without the risk of tyre damage. Beyond that, tests of the steering angle and therefore with the active steering actuators can be executed.

In general the x-dynodrive consists of the vehicle support with and without the possibility of steering angle, the wheelbase and toe adjustment as well as 4 driving motors. Drive shafts build the connection to the wheel mounting of the vehicle.



The test stand control is built on the basis of a PC computer system. For automation and visualization the software x-line is used which is developed by Dürr. Alternatively the control can be effected via a physical PLC. The data flow is realized via a bus-system, which makes a compact control system possible with only a slight amount of cabling.

The automation of the test sequences guarantees reproducible test results. Freely definable test sequences complete the flexible overall concept.

The communication between test stand and vehicle can be effected via a mobile communication system as e.g. x-tronic carlink, which can communicate with several control units on the same and / or different bus systems at the same time.
