WHEEL ALIGNMENT STAND IN THE ASSEMBLY LINE

To reduce the necessary test and adjustment capacities at the end of line the wheel alignment stand in the assembly line offers an adequate alternative to conventional transit test stands.

With this system the wheel geometry of the vehicle is measured and adjusted fully automated directly after the installation of the axles in the chassis.

During the adjustment the vehicle is suspended from its hanger.

According to the vehicle type the adjustment of toe and camber values at the front axle as well as at the rear axle is carried out by means of Dürrs own setting tools.

The delivery of the setting tools to the respective setting points is carried out via robot.

The test stand control and visualization is effected by the software x-line which is developed from DÜRR.

SEMIAUTOMATIC TOOLS TO ADJUST THE REAR AXLE

The semiautomatic setting tools to adjust and lock the toe can be integrated in the wheel geometry test stand x-wheel.

In this application the tools to adjust the toe of the rear axle are prepositioned fully automated corresponding to the chassis geometry (type/track width/wheel base).

The final delivery to the corresponding bolting points and the toe setting of the rear axle are executed manually through the operator.

Afterwards the bolting is effected torque and angle controlled. The actual values achieved are documented and saved.

The test stand control and visualization is effected by the software x-line which is developed by DÜRR.

LIFTING/TOWING DEVICE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF THE SUSPENSION KINEMATICS

The lifting/towing device in general serves for the measurement of toe and camber curves and thereby for the determination of the suspension kinematics.

The device can be integrated in the wheel alignment stand x-wheel.

By means of the lifting/towing device it is possible, to lift resp. pull down the vehicle by an appropriate value, based on the K0 position.

The respectively associated height-value is measured at the fender skirt of the vehicle with our three-dimensional measurement system x-3Dprofile.

The test stand control and visualization is effected by the software x-line which is developed by DÜRR.
